Wooden facades of REDUKT houses

The façade is the showpiece of any house. At REDUKT, we care not only about the appearance but also about the quality of the facades of mobile homes made of wood. They are what give our houses on wheels a modern, timeless and natural look.

Materials for the facades of REDUKT houses

The facades of REDUKT houses are usually made of spruce or pine wood. Our basic offer includes several colours of facade boards - from natural, light, through shades of grey and brown to black. In order to prolong their durability, we protect them with wood preservatives with the possibility of modifying the natural colour of the facade, e.g. REMMERS HK-Lazura 3in1.

Thermo-wood

Another material we use to cover the exterior of the cabins is thermo wood. Unprotected, it matures over time, taking on a noble dark silvery hue. It can be additionally oiled, so that it does not naturally turn grey when exposed to sunlight. Thermo wood is approximately 15% lighter - which is very important for the production of tiny houses on wheels with a weight limit of up to 3.5 tones.

Shou Sugi Ban wood siding

Recommended for its unique properties are the facade boards burnt using the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. This is a quite time-consuming method that involves burning the boards with a torch, brushing off the carbonised layer and then rinsing with water. Once dry, the boards are covered with a layer of linseed oil and heated again. The boards prepared in this way are more resistant to weather, moisture, rot, as well as insects or fungi, maintaining an aesthetic appearance for many years.

Maintenance of a wood façade

A wood façade requires adequate protection and regular maintenance to stay in good condition over the long term. It is recommended that the maintenance of a wooden façade is carried out at regular intervals to effectively protect the wood from moisture, UV radiation and biodegradation. Depending on the location and intensity of external factors, as well as the chosen timber option, we will advise owners on how to take care of the long-term beauty of their wooden façades.

5 steps to your REDUKT house

Tiny house is not only a compact apartment, but also a way of life that combines functionality with mobility and sustainable development. A small trailer house saves space and costs, provides freedom and flexibility. As an experienced manufacturer of tiny houses on wheels in Poland, we present a short guide for those who want to start their adventure with REDUKT mobile houses.

Step 1: Planning

The first step is to determine your needs and preferences, as well as the purpose of the house. Will the tiny house serve as a permanent place of residence or as a mobile recreational space? Or maybe as a micro hotel located on a picturesque plot away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Choosing the right trailer and the size of the house will be crucial for further design decisions.

Step 2: Design

At this stage, we work with the client to select the most appropriate model from our basic offer or to create an individual tiny house project tailored to his needs. We consider the layout of rooms, the use of space, interior finishing elements and technical aspects such as electrical and plumbing installations. If the house is to be located on a plot without access to utilities, we also decide which off-grid systems will most effectively support the autonomous functioning of the house.

Step 3: Customization

Each customer can choose additional individual options, such as custom-made furniture or details and accessories, e.g. blinds and sofa cushions. We also offer the installation of systems for thermal comfort, security and remote control, which will make the tiny house perfectly suited to the needs of users.
