“Do I need to own the plot?” – this question often pops up in the considerations of our clients who want to start a hotel business based on tiny houses. The advantage of tiny houses among other creative hotel developments is that they can be set up in non-obvious locations, not previously considered for hotels or even on rented plots.

Microhotel business based on tiny houses

The new business model based on tiny houses on wheels relies on a three-way benefit. The parties benefiting are:

  • the owner of the rental cabin,

  • the owner of the land (landlord)

  • and the guests staying at the micro hotel.

Renting a plot of land speeds up the start of a hotel investment, plus allows flexibility of changing the location of the micro hotel.
